Today I decided to tell you about a subject interesting, and surely you've ever thought: how and where children were playing Romans? Is there toys as we use us?
Now there are different toys for each age. Well, Rome was exactly the same. The children spent the most time playing because the Romans considered it was a natural thing for her age. They also played parents or fight, for example. That is, imitating the adults as in our time.
When they were babies, they were usually the first toy was a sistrum, a rattle that almost always made with ceramic and some pebbles inside but could be made of other materials. Some of them were found in tombs. Rattle
When you were a little older, were given a crepundia: it was a collection of objects that were placed on a cord so the baby could catch. This type of toy have been kept very few. Crepundia
Noughts and crosses game, which also have ever played in our lives. They played the toe loop and three normal but it looks better that way round because the prints were found on stones and marble are very worn. They also had mazes.
The girls were playing bobs red mill with dolls or toy dishes. The dolls had no baby look like now if they had better look to Rome when women were about to get married. The dolls were a role model for girls. They were made of clay, ceramic, etc. ... and even there some articulated. Toy Dolls
